Governing Board
The Governing Board was created as one piece of a three-part governance structure approved by the Committee to End Homelessness King County. It has a key leadership role in the implementation of the Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness.
The Governing Board provides high-level oversight to the Committee to End Homelessness. It is made up of more than 20 top level community leaders and two individuals who have experienced homelessness. The Governing Board helps sustain the vision and leadership of the plan, and guides planning, coordinates current funding, and works to create additional resources.
Role
- Guide development of annual work plan and priorities for the Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness
- Promote and sustain the vision and leadership of the Ten-Year Plan
- Educate and influence policy makers by advocating for system reform and increased resources at the local, state and federal levels
